Save The Dates
A lot of brides in the boutique have been asking questions about save the dates. Here are some answers:
What exactly are save the dates? A save the date lets your guests know they are invited to your wedding, the wedding date and the location, usually just the city and state. You should also include your wedding website.
What is a wedding website? Many sites such as www.ewedding.com will let you create a wedding website where you can upload photos, add information about how you met, how you got engaged and registry information. Of course you will also include information and directions to the ceremony and reception.
Who do I send save the dates to? Only send save the dates to guests you are sure you will invite to your wedding. You should not send a save the date to a potential guest then not invite them to the wedding.
When do I send save the dates? Normally you will send a save the date to your guests anywhere from six months to one year in advance. You want to give your guests as much time as possible to plan ahead for your wedding, especially if they will need to make travel arrangements.
Does my save the date have to match my invitation? No! Have fun with your save the dates. Here are a few examples we carry at Unveiled Bridal:
One of our favorites. Luggage tags are a perfect save the date if you are having a destination wedding or have lots of guests coming from out-of-town.
Magnets are also very popular. Many styles have a place for an engagement photo or favorite picture.
The save the date is just fun!
